Building energy use simulation is an essential tool for green building design teams seeking to optimize energy performance, compare design alternatives, and to meet energy code, LEED and Living Building certification requirements. In the early stages of schematic design, energy modeling is particularly critical; informing design decisions that effect energy use for the life of a building. Architects, contractors, designers, and engineers will benefit from understanding the tools available as well as in-depth training on commonly used software suites such as: Green Building Studio, Energy Scheming, Ecotect, and Tas Software. Offered in 2008 through 2009, expect to gain the detailed knowledge and hands-on experience needed to effectively employ energy modeling in schematic design of your projects.
Presented in partnership with Betterbricks.
